Bruno Monguzzi


Bruno Monguzzi is an internationally known graphic artist/typographer. Monguzzi was born in Switzerland, 1941. His education and career took the artist worldwide. Monguzzi’s early training took him to Geneva to study graphic design.  Later in 1960 Bruno moved to London and enrolled in photography, typography, and Gestalt psychology at the Saint Martin’s School of Art and London College of Printing.  Bruno Monguzzi’s working years were spent beginning in 1961 in Milan, Italy. In 1965 Monguzzi moved to Montreal to design 9 pavilions for the Canadian Expo 67. Subsequently, returning to Milan eventually becoming the curator of the Studio Boggeri.
Bruno Monguzzi has had major international exhibitions in Zurich- 1993, Baltimore-1999, Tokyo-2000, and London-2003 to name few. Monguzzi has been granted several awards throughout his long career. Monguzzi’s style of graphic design and typography can be described as modern, bold typography, combined with unique twists as you can see in the examples below.
